Woven Together in the Depths of the Earth

    Have you ever thought about how closely related to the Earth you are? Human bodies are made of Earth-Stuff. Oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, potassium, sulfur, sodium, chlorine, calcium, magnesium, and other elements make up not only our bodies, but the whole biosphere; the physical system the supports life on the surface of our planet.
    Plants, oceans, animals, clouds, insects, waterfalls, beaches, snowflakes, trees, humans; we all part of the biogeochemical cycles in which essential elements of living matter are circulated and recycled through organic and inorganic systems.
    Can you imagine anything more creative and beautiful?

    I will thank You because I am marvelously made;
    Your works are wonderful, and I know it well.
    My frame was not hidden from You,
    when I was being made in secret,
    intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

    Psalm 139:13-14
